01 · Scope & ownership

Who is responsible for your data

WebNums.com is a protected series of Feldroy, LLC, a Texas limited liability company. In this policy, “WebNums,” “we,” and “us” refer to the WebNums.com protected series.

This policy applies to webnums.com, our number-porting process, customer support, and the WebNums service. For account, billing, security, and service-operation data, the WebNums.com protected series is the data controller or “business.” When we handle communications content at a customer’s direction, we generally act as that customer’s service provider or processor.

02 · Information we collect

The data needed to move and operate a number

Account and contact information

We may collect your name, email address, country, service address, account or authentication details, communication preferences, and the information you provide when you contact us.

Phone number and porting information

To check eligibility and port a number, we may need the phone number, current carrier, carrier account number, billing or service address, number-transfer PIN or passcode, port authorization, recent carrier bill, and identity or business documentation when a carrier or law requires it. Porting credentials are sensitive. Do not email passwords, transfer PINs, identity documents, or complete payment details unless we specifically direct you to an approved method.

Communications content and metadata

To deliver the service, WebNums processes incoming text content, sender and recipient phone numbers, voicemail audio, automated transcripts, caller numbers when available, timestamps, message identifiers, routing and delivery status, duration, and the email destination you select. Text senders and voicemail callers may not be WebNums customers, but their data reaches us because they contacted a WebNums number.

Payment and transaction information

If you purchase service, we and our payment provider may collect billing contact details, payment method type, partial card details, transaction identifiers, invoices, and tax information. We do not need your complete card number in our application systems when a payment provider handles it.

Website, device, and service activity

We may collect IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, request timestamps, diagnostic logs, authentication events, and actions taken in the service. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand WebNums. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site advertising trackers on webnums.com.

03 · How we use information

Every use must have a service reason

  • Check number eligibility, submit and manage ports, and communicate port status.
  • Receive incoming texts and voicemails, create transcripts, and deliver them to your chosen email address.
  • Authenticate customers, manage accounts and subscriptions, and provide support.
  • Monitor delivery, troubleshoot failures, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and investigate abuse or security incidents.
  • Meet tax, accounting, carrier, telecommunications, sanctions, and other legal obligations.
  • Improve service reliability and accessibility using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.

For people in the UK, European Economic Area, and similar jurisdictions, our legal bases include performing our contract, complying with law, protecting legitimate interests such as security and reliability, and consent where the law requires it.

04 · Communications content commitments

What we will not do with your conversations

We do not sell communications content. We do not use text content, voicemail audio, or transcripts for targeted advertising. We do not use that content to train generalized AI models.

Automated transcription providers may process voicemail audio only to provide the service to us and our customer, subject to contractual restrictions. Authorized personnel may access content when a customer asks for support, when necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident, to maintain the service, or when law requires it. We limit that access to what is reasonably necessary.

05 · When we disclose information

Providers, carriers, safety, and law

We may disclose relevant information to:

  • Telecommunications partners and carriers that validate, port, host, route, or maintain phone numbers.
  • Service providers for cloud hosting, email delivery, transcription, payment processing, customer support, monitoring, fraud prevention, and security.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, insurers, and auditors under appropriate duties of confidentiality.
  • Authorities and affected parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect a person, prevent fraud or abuse, respond to valid legal process, or defend rights and the service.
  • A successor organization in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice obligations.

We require providers to process data for the contracted service and to protect it appropriately. You may contact us for current information about provider categories relevant to your account.

06 · Retention & deletion

Different data has different clocks

The periods below are our standard limits. We may preserve specific records longer when reasonably necessary for a legal hold, active abuse or security investigation, payment dispute, or legal obligation. We delete or de-identify data when the applicable period ends.

Standard WebNums data retention periods
Data Standard period
Delivered text content, voicemail audio, and transcripts Removed from active delivery systems within 30 days after successful delivery
Undelivered communications awaiting retry Up to 30 days, then deleted unless support or law requires preservation
Message and call routing metadata Up to 90 days for reliability, security, fraud, and billing
Transfer PINs, porting credentials, and identity documents Deleted within 30 days after the port completes, is rejected, or is canceled
Account profile and service configuration While the account is active and up to 90 days after closure
Support, safety, and abuse records Usually up to 2 years, depending on the issue
Invoices, transaction, tax, and required compliance records Up to 7 years or the period required by applicable law
Encrypted backups Age out on a rolling schedule, ordinarily within 90 days

07 · Delivery to your inbox

Your email provider becomes part of the path

WebNums is designed to forward texts and voicemail materials to the email address you choose. Once delivered, copies are also governed by your email provider’s terms, privacy practices, retention, and account security. Anyone with access to that inbox may be able to read them. Use an accurate, secure email address, protect it with a strong password and multi-factor authentication, and tell us promptly if it is compromised.

08 · Your choices & rights

Access, deletion, correction, and objection

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know about, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal data, and to appeal a denied request. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We do not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use sensitive personal information only for providing and protecting the service, carrying out requested transactions, and other purposes permitted without a right to limit.

Email a request to hello@feldroy.com with the subject “WebNums privacy request.” We will verify your identity and authority before acting. If we process communication data only on behalf of a WebNums customer, we may direct you to that customer.

09 · Text senders & voicemail callers

Data from people who do not use WebNums

If you text or call a number hosted by WebNums, we process the information described above so our customer can receive your communication. The customer controls why they use that communication and is responsible for any notices or permissions their use requires. To request access or deletion, you may contact the WebNums customer first or contact us with the number, date, approximate time, and enough detail to locate the record.

Customers are responsible for following laws that apply to call recording, transcription, monitoring, consent, and communications in their jurisdiction and the caller’s jurisdiction.

10 · International processing

A US service used across borders

WebNums.com and Feldroy, LLC are based in the United States. Our providers and telecommunications partners may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.

11 · Security & incidents

Safeguards for sensitive communications

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including access restrictions, secure transmission where supported, provider review, monitoring, and procedures for responding to incidents. No internet or telecommunications service can guarantee absolute security.

Report a suspected WebNums vulnerability or account compromise to hello@feldroy.com with the subject “WebNums security report.” Please do not include exploit code, credentials, porting PINs, or other people’s message content in your first email.

12 · Children

WebNums is for adults

WebNums is not directed to people under 18, and we do not knowingly allow them to open accounts. If you believe a child provided account information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

13 · Policy changes

We will make material changes visible

We may update this policy as WebNums, our providers, or the law changes. We will post the new date here and provide additional notice when required. A prior version may be requested by email.
