WebNums is not a mobile phone replacement, emergency service, or guaranteed channel for bank and verification codes. Do not rely on it for 911, 999, 112, or other time-critical communications.
01 · Agreement & operator
Your agreement with WebNums.com
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and WebNums.com, a protected series of Feldroy, LLC, a Texas limited liability company. They govern webnums.com, number eligibility and porting assistance, and the WebNums communications service (together, the “Service”).
By ordering, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm that you may bind that organization, and “you” includes it. Additional terms shown in an order or plan description also apply; if they conflict with these Terms, the order controls for that specific purchase.
You must be at least 18, capable of entering a contract, and legally permitted to use the Service where you live.
02 · The service
Receiving a number through your inbox
For eligible numbers and plans, WebNums hosts a phone number, receives supported incoming texts and voicemail, automatically transcribes voicemail, and forwards those materials to an email address you choose. Features, supported countries, number types, carriers, message formats, and limits may vary by plan and telecommunications partner.
Unless a plan expressly says otherwise, WebNums does not provide outbound calling or texting, cellular data, a physical SIM, live call answering, or real-time emergency calling. MMS, short codes, premium-rate messages, alphanumeric sender IDs, roaming functions, toll-free traffic, collect calls, and other specialized traffic may be unsupported.
Delivery is not guaranteed
Phone networks, carriers, transcription systems, the public internet, spam filters, and your email provider are outside our complete control. Messages or calls may be delayed, truncated, transcribed inaccurately, rejected, or not delivered. Some banks, government services, platforms, and authentication providers block ported, hosted, or virtual numbers. Keep another secure authentication and recovery method for critical accounts.
Not an emergency service
You cannot use WebNums to contact emergency services, and emergency services cannot reliably locate you through WebNums. In an emergency, use a local phone or another service that supports your location and call the appropriate local emergency number.
03 · Eligibility, numbers & porting
Keep the old service active until we confirm
A number is eligible only if our telecommunications partners can support it and the current carrier approves the transfer. Eligibility checks are preliminary; they do not guarantee a successful port or completion date.
- You must own the number or have documented authority from the owner to port and manage it.
- Porting details and authorization must be complete, current, and accurate. We may request additional verification.
- Keep the current carrier account active and paid until WebNums confirms completion. Canceling early can delay the port or cause permanent loss of the number.
- Your carrier may charge fees or require you to satisfy a contract or device balance. Those obligations remain yours.
- You authorize us and our partners to submit, correct, cancel, and complete port requests on your behalf using the information you provide.
A port can take longer than expected or fail for reasons we cannot control. We are not responsible for a number lost because you canceled service early, supplied incorrect information, lacked authority, failed to respond, did not pay a carrier, or missed a port-out or renewal deadline.
04 · Account & email security
Protect the destination as carefully as the number
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping authentication credentials, carrier PINs, recovery methods, and the destination email account secure. Provide accurate information and keep your email address and payment method current. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, a compromised inbox, or a fraudulent port.
Anyone who can access the destination inbox may be able to read texts, transcripts, and voicemail recordings. We recommend a strong unique password and multi-factor authentication for that inbox.
05 · Communications & consent
You are responsible for lawful use
You retain rights in content sent to your number. You give WebNums and its providers a limited worldwide license to receive, route, copy, transcribe, store, and deliver that content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and legally operate the Service.
Laws about recording, monitoring, interception, transcription, privacy notices, consent, and data retention vary. You are responsible for determining and meeting the rules that apply to you, your number, the sender or caller, and every relevant jurisdiction. You must provide required notices and obtain required consents before using the Service.
Do not direct people to WebNums for medical, safety, legal, financial, or other communications where a delay, transcription error, or missed message could cause serious harm.
06 · Acceptable use & abuse
Do not use WebNums to harm or deceive
You may not use or help others use the Service to:
- Break a law, regulation, court order, carrier rule, or another person’s rights.
- Commit fraud, impersonation, phishing, identity theft, number hijacking, or unauthorized account access.
- Threaten, harass, stalk, exploit, discriminate against, or endanger anyone.
- Receive or facilitate spam, unlawful marketing, traffic pumping, artificially inflated traffic, or premium-rate schemes.
- Record, monitor, intercept, or transcribe communications without legally required notice or consent.
- Distribute malware, evade security controls, probe systems without permission, or interfere with networks or other customers.
- Handle child sexual abuse material or other content whose possession or distribution is unlawful.
- Resell, sublicense, share, or transfer the Service or a hosted number without our written permission.
- Misrepresent WebNums as a mobile carrier, emergency service, or guaranteed authentication channel.
We may investigate reports, preserve evidence, block traffic, require verification, work with carriers, suspend or terminate service, and make legally required reports. Report suspected abuse using the instructions on our Company, Support & Safety page. Do not use abuse reporting for emergencies.
07 · Pricing, billing & cancellation
Charges are shown before you buy
Prices, billing intervals, usage limits, taxes, porting fees, and renewal terms are shown when you order. You authorize us and our payment provider to charge the payment method you select. Recurring plans renew until canceled. We may change future pricing with advance notice required by law; a change will not retroactively alter a paid billing period.
You may cancel as described in your account or by contacting support. Except where an order or law says otherwise, amounts already paid are non-refundable and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
Port out before canceling if you want to keep the number. Closing service without completing a port-out may permanently release or disconnect it. Start early and wait for written confirmation.
08 · Changes to the service
Telecommunications services change
We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features or support for a carrier, number type, or country. We will give reasonable notice when a material change negatively affects paid service, unless an urgent legal, carrier, safety, or security issue requires faster action.
We may schedule maintenance and respond to unscheduled outages. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or a particular port date, delivery time, transcription accuracy, or retention of unsupported traffic.
09 · Suspension & termination
When we may stop service
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, invalid account information, a security risk, suspected fraud or abuse, prohibited use, carrier or legal requirements, or a material breach of these Terms. When practical and safe, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
You may stop using WebNums at any time, but you remain responsible for charges already incurred and for porting out any number you wish to keep. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, licenses needed to complete wind-down, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms—will survive.
10 · Intellectual property
WebNums and your content
WebNums.com and its licensors own the Service, software, design, documentation, trademarks, and related intellectual property. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended while your account is in good standing. They do not transfer ownership of the Service or of your communications content.
Feedback is voluntary. If you send suggestions, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, but not in a way that publicly identifies you without permission.
11 · Third-party services
Carriers and providers have their own systems
The Service depends on telecommunications carriers, number providers, transcription, cloud, email, payment, and other third-party services. Their outages, routing decisions, spam controls, eligibility rules, and legal obligations can affect WebNums. Your use of a separate service, including your email provider or old carrier, remains subject to that provider’s terms.
12 · Disclaimers
The service is provided as available
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebNums is provided “as is” and “as available.” WebNums.com disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing. We do not warrant that a number will be eligible or portable, that a sender will recognize it, that any message or call will arrive, or that a transcript will be complete or accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.
13 · Limitation of liability
Limits allowed by law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebNums.com, Feldroy, LLC, and their owners, personnel, affiliates, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, messages, voicemail, or phone numbers, arising from or related to the Service—even if advised such damages were possible.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid WebNums.com for WebNums during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited, including to liability that cannot legally be limited.
14 · Indemnity
Responsibility for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify WebNums.com, Feldroy, LLC, and their owners, personnel, and affiliates against third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your content, a number you were not authorized to control, your failure to obtain required consent, or your material breach of these Terms. We will notify you of a covered claim and reasonably cooperate in the defense.
15 · Governing law & disputes
Contact us before filing a claim
Before filing a formal claim, you and WebNums.com agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 30 days after written notice, unless urgent injunctive relief is reasonably necessary.
California law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. State and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the consumer law of your home jurisdiction gives you a non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere.
16 · General terms
The rest of the agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and applicable order terms are the entire agreement about the Service. If part of them is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign the agreement without our written consent; we may assign it as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, or sale of the Service. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, but this does not excuse payment obligations.
We may update these Terms. We will post the new effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and port out any number you wish to keep before closing the account.
